Not all victories/losses are equal. The usual win/loss/% method of map scoring seems too shallow a way to tell the whole story of a match. It also lends itself to teams being defensive by encouraging the "Take the main spawn point and hold it for dear life" strategy of play.

Consider the following suggestion that rose out of the Far Eastern shores of the Volga as a way to provide more detailed scoring, encourage an attacking style of play, and provide more incentive for teams to fight till the bitter end on each map:

The MoloTov Method:by XPlosive Game Productions
------------------------------------------------------------------

- teams are awarded a map score relative to the number of spawns open to capture ('captureable') in their possession at the end of the match.

-the map score will be shown as a fraction (or percentage for those decimal haters):
# of 'captureable' spawns owned / # of 'captureable' spawns on the map

ie. in twin islands, there are 4 spawns open to capture. if team Blue controls one of team Red's spawns at the end of the match, then they would have 3 out of 4 spawns for a score of 0.75.
Conversely, team Red would have only 1 out of 4 captureable spawns in their control and would receive a map score of 0.25.

-a complete victory (all spawn points captured) would mean a sore of 1.0 and 0.0 respectively for the two teams.

- the match score will be a total (or average) of all map scores.

Effects:

-this method would provide a more accurate description of the magnitude of the victory: slim or great.

- it would also encourage an attacking style (thus more flow and drama) since match scores are calculated by adding up the various map scores. Thus, the margin of victory for each map, which is increased by taking more spawns, would be important to determining the overall match winner.

-awarding some map points to the losing team relative to how well they fought in their losing effort would provide teams incentive to fight on in a map despite being obviously outgunned and having little hope of victory in that particular map. Nothing worse than quitters in a match...well, except cheaters.

- the use of the percentage scoring would still allow all maps to be equal in scoring weight when determining the outcome of a match.

- having all maps be of equal value under this scoring system would allow tournament organizers more options in terms of planning and match-ups.

Yeah sounds ok..but the normal scoring is fine for now...good luck with it..itll be cool to see after some matches all the new stats..
